Hi everyone,
Happy New Year! I hope you guys had a very nice Christmas/holidays and NYE.
This month's theme is;
Let's start a new year with a new art style... Pick one (or more) of the options below!
Option 1 (3D artwork/drawing/painting/digital artwork/sculpture/photography, etc)
Think outside the box—LITERALLY! Make an exciting, unique, and crazy frame with whatever materials you around you. Forget normal frames—frame a piece of blank paper or canvas with fingers, chopsticks, drops of water, or whatever you want! It doesn't even have to be a proper frame if you say it's a frame. Take some risks and get creative!
Option 2 (3D artwork/drawing/painting/digital artwork/sculpture/photography, etc)
Create artwork WITHOUT using your dominant hand. What can your toe do? What can your elbow do? As long as you don't use your dominant hand, it's perfectly fine to even let your dog or cat do the work.
Option 3 (3D artwork/drawing/painting/digital artwork/sculpture/photography, etc)
Make 2023 your year, both in real life and in your artwork. Create artwork, using yourself as the main motif or idea. Maybe you can paint out what goes inside your head, make a sculpture of the right half of your body, shoot a short film casting a hundred miniature figurines of yourself—possibilities are always endless...
I'd strongly encourage ALL MEMBERS to submit at least one thing this month because this will be the last month as President of the CGA Art Club as I'm graduating from CGA. I'm really excited to see everyone's artwork for the last time:)
I posted another announcement about leadership opportunities for this year, so please take a look at that as well!
Best
