Growing up there was one book that I’ve never been able to forget, Chloe by design is a Book about a girl who aspires to be a fashion designer. Through the book whenever there’d be a mention of an outfit she wore or designed, occasionally you’d find illustrations of her designs throughout the story. I’ve always been inspired by the simplicity but creativity of these designs. My mom is a fashion designer and she asked me to sketch one of her designs digitally, I chose to sketch out the design using Brooke Hagel’s art style.

Hi Tala!
You're the first ever person who submitted a fashion design to CGA Art Club! I didn't know much about it so I asked my old friend who's majoring in fashion design at Central Saint Martins (, hence the delay!).
She told me that there were two types of fashion drawing; fashion illustrations and fashion technical drawing. Fashion illustrations are when you want to make your ideas into an illustration. You usually get inspired by idols to draw the model's face and body. Whereas fashion technical drawing should clearly show every details of your design so that it can be produced at factories.
She also said it was a nice idea to take it a little further by developing and extending your imagination from the inspiration. For example, you could picture a particular person in your head when you draw. Imagine their facial expression, how they might act or pose, etc. to make the model more lively and beautiful.
Personally I love your drawing skills, how your drawing looks iconic and realistic, and how they're homogenous throughout a piece, which helps it look very professional. If I were to complain about this perfect artwork, I wonder what kind of fabric is used for this green dress. I assumed it was made of satin but it rather looks like linen because you can see some white areas in your green dress. To get the satin texture, I would recommend putting highlighters rather than leaving highlighted part white. Highlighter shade could be white, yellow, or sometimes blue- and that's the fun part of making art!
