hi.
this is another gouache painting i did a while ago. idk if i said last time but i am doing an A to Z of disney characters with gouache. this one was B i am currently working on C.
this was the original photo:

and this is the painting:

i decided to take out some of the grass covering her face bc i found it distracting. (the washi tape did rip some of the top left corner off but its okay). i think next time i need to kinda capture the sunset a bit better? it was really hard to blend the yellow with the purple but i think i could have done it better. i also think i should have used a warmer yellow. i tried something different this time, i didnt trace anything with a pen, instead i just outlined it with a darker version of that colour, and i am so happy with how it worked. i absolutely love how this came out and it is so much better than my last one.
It looks really pretty - I can see that you're becoming more comfortable with gouache. For the transition between yellow and purple you could use an in-between colour like a little bit of a pink/magenta. Since the yellow is so warm and and the purple is quite cool, putting a bit of magenta/pink might help to balance.
