April/May submission

Finally submitting something yay!!

On the theme of mythical creatures I did so on the attack titan from attack on titan. I'm much accustomed to drawing people and I've tried this theme many times but ended with this which I'm somewhat proud of. Perfect time to do some overdue anatomy practice too!

Mixed in Mays theme of light and dark, which I still havn't learnt shadows so its really just guesswork. Also looks messy but it's the best I can do right now

Also, those who has seen attack on titan see if you can spot symbolism in this one

I haven't seen 'Attack on Titan' but I love this piece! One thing about shadows: their strength and intensity is generally proportional within the piece, so try using a range of tones to indicate various types of light/dark. You've really well here though! The green in the eyes is especially captivating :D

I love this! The contrast in size between the whale and the swimmer is so clever; it really highlights the awe of the moment. Personally, I would add a little more to the bubbles and perhaps less even distribution of light, but either way this is AMAZING :)

March submission

For the theme of drawing people (this is takina inoue from lycoris recoil). I've been studying using boxes to draw characters and objects in perspective. Still havn't learnt about colour or backgrounds but I'll take this for 9 months of drawing progress. I did this by finding a pose reference then changing it up a bit. CSP says this took 28 hours 😨although that was mostly changing up the pose when constructing, this is way too long for something like this and speeding up my workflow is something I have to work on

It's such as good piece, Andy! Of course, timing is always something to work on if you want but I think your effort is definitely reflected here. The shading and distribution of light is awesome :) Emily

Thank you Sophia! This is a really interesting and unique take on the theme - i love the inclusion the the differrent patterns on the characters to further depict the internal disharmony between them :)
