For those older artists who've read Invincible, this is a crossover between Pokémon Platinum and Nogogglesible after being trapped in the shadowverse during th
e Invincible War. Chose to do Giratina as a shiny because it had the same colors (favorite shiny now).
For this month's theme, I created a painting inspired by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. My painting shows a simple black cat with a mushroom on its head. Around the cat, I painted white circles and different patterns, just like the dots and repeated designs that Kusama is famous for.
I chose a black cat because I think cats are mysterious and interesting, and the mushroom makes the painting fun and imaginative. I enjoyed using patterns and circles because they made the artwork look brighter and unique.
Adorable!! I love the little cat's expression :D The brown of the background complements the mushrooms very nicely. How did you discover Yayoi Kusama?

We'll be combining the July and August themes for this round, as the Greenwich campus is on break at the moment and Aoraki has holidays (though that might arguably be the best time for art!)
We will have 3 themes to choose from to reflect the extended deadline.

Wow!! I've never seen (or heard) of most of these shows/franchises before but they seem fascinating. I love how you've used shades of dark blue against the black to create lighter colours---amazing use of colour theory! The blue is amazingly metallic as well :D
