Hello everyone!

I drew a face using only triangles and circles. No smooth lines, no blending, just sharp edges and perfect rounds. It was definitely out of my comfort zone as I normally like to create more realistic styles of art. But I really loved how it turned out. I hope you guys do too!

I love this! You're bordering on a Cubism style of art here; it's always difficult to try other ways of creating but you've done really well here. Do you think you'll continue making pieces like this in the future?

I was inspired by the Pov-Ray style 3D renders, and the lighting effects of blender/other 3D software, plus I don't usually use blender very much.

I also have a Video animation version

It's so impressive that you can use software tools like this to create art. It's certainly well beyond my skills! 😃 I'm amazed at how realistic the light and shadows are---is this something you practise often, or just something you've picked up with Blender?

May Themes

Hi everyone,

May already! New themes are now up ready for creating. This month, we're going to be focusing on contrast/light vs dark, or switched up styles (so swapping the medium or style that you generally use). I've added the complete instructions below, plus some of my own sketches referenced from the wonderful world of Pinterest :D

Looking forward to what you come up with!

Emily

This is so beautiful. Artists can be inspired by lots of different things so I love how you've used music as your 'muse' this time (weak pun intended). Beautiful shading on the bottom drawing as well!
