Watercolour Painting

Hello! Just sharing this painting I did of some Kookaburras on my porch. The one on the right is called Hansi and the other one is nameless, but its one of Hansi's kids 😄 The camera quality of my phone is not that great so the colours look a bit off in the photo

Hi Sophie!

I love how the light is falling onto those two birds!! (And also the contrast of light and dark) About how long did you take to complete this drawing?

August - September submission | Gold foil, blue watercolor, ink, vintage paper on wooden canvas.

Anyways - first submission!

This piece was created using a glue base and further coated with multi-media resources, listed in the title. Originally all I would do was stain the wooden canvas with ink but then the wooden texture/patterns would still be visible. I feel like in the future I could possibly add more watercolor splashes and colored foils apart from blue and gold.

I really love this! Gold and Blue always look great next to each other because they are complimentry so I actually like the more minimal use of colour here!
