Gouache Film Studies

Hello !!

I've been trying to get better at mixing colours since I tend to just use colours straight as they come from the pan or tube 😅 I painted some movie scenes I thought I would find difficult to replicate colour-wise to practice :

La Boum (1980)

Anne of Green Gables (1985)

I don't really remember where this is from but I think its Pride and Prejudice

I'm going to do more so I might make another post soon <3

Thank you! I use winsor newton designers gouache - they are quite expensive so I only have a few colours. I recommend getting a white, a magenta, a yellow, a blue (a cyan and or ultra marine) and a brown (burnt sienna). Other colours like black (blue + brown) and red (magenta +yellow) can be mixed using these. Cyan, Magenta, and yellow as primary colours works best for vibrant painting. I also tweak shades using bits of water colour when I need to.
