I'll be hosting a Value and Tone practice drawing session on Friday the 3rd of October at 8pm NZT (8 am GMT+0) where I'll go over the importance of value in art and together we will practice drawing based on value :D

Value refers to how light or dark something is in a picture and is a vital art prinicple. Focusing on value when drawing involves not geting bogged down in the fine details of what you are drawing but focusing on the bigger picture and the shape of highlights and shadows. Drawing based on value can help speed up your process and allow you to see an image from a different perspective. You can use this for almost any medium

What you draw does not have to be realistic - its more about getting you to use value more effectively in your own way!
